You can make an executive out of an artist
but you can never take the artist out of an executive. We
affectionately call Alan our Art Executive. But regardless
of his title, his eye for superior design and his close
attention to business economics make him our leader. His
endless energy inspires us. And if it gets too out of hand,
we cut off his coffee supply.

A dichotomy is usually not a positive
thing. But in Felicia's case, it is. She's faithful with
fitness, but she eats all of the time. She's the first
one to act a little nutso, but she's seriously crazy about
business. And when it comes to watching over her client's
reputation in the trade press, she walks the fine line
between all-out publicity and journalistic integrity.
She's a walking contradiction . . . but when she walks
in her clients shoes, they'll be right on track.

Okay, if you're not from Cedar Rapids,
you may not understand what we mean when we say Pam is
a "Bohemian-Catholic". But trust us. It's a
good thing. Because if she's on your side (and as a client,
she would be) you'll never have to sweat the details.
If they're not in her head, she'll find them in some file
or notebook somewhere, no matter how long ago they occurred.
She makes our business run as precisely and efficiently
as her household. And if you saw the color-coordinated
baskets her kids put their toys away in (blue toys go
in the blue basket, red in red), you'd understand.

Don't think for a moment that Betsy's
sweet smile means she's a pushover. When it comes to researching
a client's products and target markets, or finding the
exact word needed to name a new product, step out of the
way. We're pretty sure her ancestral surname was "Wordsmythe".
But that doesn't mean she goes by the book. Her unique
ideas will redefine your marketing strategies.

Grant Wood, Iowa's own regionalist artist (who painted American Gothic in his studio just a block from our shop) once said, "I had to go to France to appreciate Iowa." Kate, Adfinity's own home-grown artist, says about her studies in Florence: "Living in Italy made me realize I will never stop traveling and experiencing new places, but Iowa will always be where I want to come home." Whether she's hiking along the Northern coast of Italy or roaming around her grandparents' Northwest Iowa farm, she has an eye for beauty. And her design work for clients? Bello!

To be a left-brainer in a right-brainer's
world. How frustrating. Well, to work with Kathy, you'd
never know it. Her positive attitude while trying to keep
the artsy-fartsy-types on track is amazing and downright
fun. Why? Because she doesn't lose the forest for the trees.
Bottomline, she handles project details with a smile on
her face (or is she really gritting her teeth?).
